dont half ass your tuning with just an safc. rom tune first or die. then if you feel the need for further tuning, then get the safc and a wideband with datalogging capabilities. done.

safc2 is fine if you just want something to get by, but for real goodness, get a rom tune or standalone,

but to answer your question, it can be found by searching, z32 maf is something like 2 in 6 out in one of the menus, and as far as 550 goes, you need to tune down something to about 66% of what it normally runs, (put in slightly higher than 66% to be on the safe side), but you still need a tune, you def can get at least 250 whp with that setup

As mentioned by the previous poster there are other options that are better such as a rom tune. At a minumum you will want to tune the car with some kind of wideband. As for a baseline, you will want to set airflow correction to -33% and set the MAF to 2in/6out for z32 maf. I would recommend reading up more on why devices that under report airflow for injector correction are not the best option in general (hint - overly advanced timing). Not saying that it can't be or hasn't been done with varying degrees of success, its just there are better options for slightly more money.

yeah of course there are better ways. megasquirt, aem ems, whatever. but you could get a freakin rom tune, a good rom tune. and be done. if its mapped right you shouldnt need adjustments with an safc. sorry im anti-safc. do what you want but do it right and save yourself a lot of time and hassle. good luck.

I would say Im anti-AFC as well. Ive had one and ran pretty much the same setup as the original poster. While it crudely got the job done it had enough issues(driveability, cold starting, lack of timing adjustment over the stock maps which were forced into a crappy part of the timing map, etc) that I wanted something better and wound up getting a PowerFC and would never put another AFC in my car.

imo opinion power fc isnt really needed unless your pushing some nce numbers with some nice parts. with his setup a stock engine contol unit will be able to handle it if it is retuned. a standalone isnt really needed in this case. this is just my opinion.

Why S-AFC Is a sure fire way to lose your setup.

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...78#post1077578

as stated above, 2 in 6 out, minimum of -33%. and FYI, SAFC only does maximum of +/-50% (displayed), now wheather or not your tables at any given point allow for that much correction... WHO KNOWS!?!?!

Its an SAFC P.A.R.T.Y.

well at least someone agrees with me. although i have heard a lot of good reviews for the greddy ultimate emanage. not the blue. but then again a rom tune is cheapest and safest and the easiest especially for your setup. and if your a diy tuning guy you might want to check out the pocket romulator and liveedit tuning program. real time tuning ftw..

Emanage Ultimate is actually quite the badass box.

Dont buy it if you want an easy install. It would be far easier to install a Haltech Flying Lead.

But, for the price, and the volume of dumb S*#* i've done with mine (methanol controller?!!?!?) its rocks socks for dirt cheap tunning.

spend about a half a day reading, reading, and more reading about tuning factory eproms and do the shit yourself. in the end you will be able to tune that setup for 300hp for a mear $10 if you have the equipment. without...50 maybe?

Guys I need help just start my sr20det back up after 5years of parking. My set up are z32 maf, SAFC2 and 550cc injectors and the car smoke.

Then I turn it off and the car won't start now.
I also have my hi throttle at -40 across the board and low throttle at -40 across board. Is this correct? ???

Because the safc is horriable at controling those injectors at max adjustment. Ditch it and atleast go mail in tune...its only $400

Been sitting for 5 yrs might have more of an issue then ur safc/maf/injectors

Z32 maf and SAFC doesn't make any sense. There is no point to using that maf. Use a stock maf and 550cc injectors with SAFC first of all.

Then you need a wideband and dial in the a/f ratio.

Not to mention you need to set the IN - OUT for the Z32 maf for the Safc to read correctly. IIRC it's 2 In 6 out
