Injector probs
This seems stupid but i need pointers. I have to replace one of my injectors and i dont want to hurt it pushing it in. I tried with my hands all i could but it dosnt want to go in its home. any ideas or am i missing something... thanx

Dont do that you might fuck the o-ring up. Instead dip the injector in oil up to the o-rings and push it in by hand and if your successful you will hear a clunk/click when the injector seats properly, thats the sound you wanna hear.

Yea side feed, ill try that i just was a puss, i cant afford a busted injector

Lube up both o-rings with vasoline and then use a q-tip to smear some down in the fuel rail bore where the lower o-ring will hit.
Then guide the injector in and it should pop in without much effort. If you push on it or use the retainer cap to push it in, the plastic o-ring retainers will probably get pinched and damaged and then fuel will leak past the o-ring and cause problems. |
