$0. This is why I insist on buying used old cars. I have 3 vehicles and no debt and my 240 cost me less in total than my friend invested in just maintaining his 05 wrangler this year.

I will have debt as I only have an associates degree in Math/Science and I want to go back to school. Although engineering sucks and I'm not sure exactly what I want to do.

I've looked at this thread every year, and its funny how fast things change.

Back in 08, i had none.

As of 2010, i had 25k in stu loans

As of 2011, I had 105k on a house, 15k in stu loans, 15k on a truck.

As of today:

100k on a house

34k on another house

4k on stu loans.

15k total in personal loans for automotive school, Snap-On tools and some borrowed from parents.
No longer in the automotive profession. I was sick and tired of my bosses taking advantage of my ASE certifications to do some of the high customer paid work at $8 dollars an hour. It's just like that everywhere in West Michigan. A lot of Dutch penny pinchers.

At the age of 22 I was 30+k in debt. I'm 26 now with 21k in debt, living at home.

A card you use for official govt travel. Once you rack up monies on it you'll file a voucher for the trip which you may or may not have to provide receipts for purchases. So if you're allowed X amount a day for lodging and X amount a day for fuel, you use the card to charge that stuff. After your trip they total how much u spent vs what you were allowed. If you spent less than allowed then you'll come out with cash in your pocket. If you spent more than what the per diem allowed then you have to justify the extra expenses and will more than likely have to pay it back.The point of the voucher is to pay the card when all is said and done.

Also, DTS will auto pay your card if you put the card information as the split dispersement pay account.

When I PCS'd from VA to So Cal I was allowed 8 travel days. Since I traveled with family I had a per diem per day for them too. Multiply that by the number of travel days and that was my limit for the trip. Guess what! I got to California and had to stay in lodging for 15 days more than I wanted to which was put on the travel card. So I ended up having an huge expense on it. If I didn't have to spend those days in lodging I probably would have made 600ish bucks.
