KA Ka24de Experts only please

I have a s14 motor intake mannifold evrything and a ecu and wiring harness, the whole bit...with an s13 head upper timing chain and valve cover.
It runs like shit, question has anyone ACTUALLY DONE this themselves or first hand experienced this swap actually working properly???
I dont want to keep throwing money at this thing.
I have heard of other people doing this but...no one specifically has told me THEY did it.
if you know the answer or have any ideas PLEASE!
The car starts runs rough and doesnt like going over id say 2000 rpms once it hits that it 100% falls on its face until you let off and then it goes back to a idle. starts right up just replaced the fuel filter thought maybe that was it. fuel pump not enough pressure?? Wrong ecu for the s13 head? timing gears off a tooth I am at a loss
Can you pm me???

Sounds like a maf problem. What codes are you getting? If its a 95 ecu invest in datascan so you can see your problems, if its 96+ get you an obd2 reader. Have you checked base timing? Is your engine grounded good?
