S13 radio trim question

Is there a difference between a 89-90 coupe radio trim and a 91-94 radio trim? I bought a new one and the previous owner told me it was from a 90 coupe se but it wont fit on my 92 se coupe.

I feel like there shouldnt be a difference but its super strange that it doesnt fit, any ideas?

I cannot get this radio trim piece that i bought from someone to click in and be secure from around the radio shifter. It will not snap in and be "flush" so im wondering if there is any difference between a Chuki radio trim and a kouki radio trim

Are we talking about the actual radio trim or the shifter trim?

Radio trim I never ran one. Just bolted the radio onto the bracket that connects to the pocket/slot.
