two lose wires near alternator on s14

I'm having trouble figuring out what these 2 lose wires are on the intake side of my KA24DE. The car had an auto to manual conversion, and I'm thinking they are remnants of the old automatic. This is my first time owning and working on a 240sx, and I have referred to the FSM, but I cannot figure this out.

This lose connector has a single yellow wire with a green stripe on it, coming out of the harness near the alternator wires.

This looks to me like a power or ground terminal with a rubber boot on it, also coming out of the lower harness (I think), near the alternator wires.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that you are referencing the Alternator ground ring terminal, which can be grounded to the alternator casing. The alternator grounds itself to the engine so the car will run without this being connected, but extra grounds can't hurt.

I assume you already have the alternator +12V larger ring terminal w/ boot connected? Does your alternator already have a ground wire?
