How low can zeal coils go? I don't want to be stupid low, but low enough.
Pics would be nice, preferably S13.

Did it really take 4 pages for someone to say this?

I agree 110% It's all on what you do and how you drive, where you drive etc.

I ran megans for a few years they were ok, Just recently picked up HKS Hypermax coil's and LOVE them. so much better than the Megans, Fortune coils seem to be pretty nice too from everyone i've been on.

Zeal will take care of you. Better have AT LEAST 3k ready to throw.

Tein is a little overpriced to your average entry level coil because you are paying for name, that they have ESTABLISHED over many years. You are not buying "junk" so to speak. I bought tein flex way back in 2002/03. They are still on the road today.....just saying. But I will be upgrading soon. Zeal function T is what I'm leaning towards right now.

Your mom on a pogo stick.

Idk about other coilovers, but I love my Cusco Zero 2's. Serve me well for DD duty. I've never experienced this excessive harshness or bounciness some of you speak of.

But those are $2.5k suspension. I think Cusco is a more expensive version of Teins. You're paying more for the name than the product. I fucking hated my Comp-S and those are $1.5k suspensions. My damn Megan Racing coilovers functioned better than Comp-S.

Loving my kei office xr's that i got bnib for $650. Dampening is like molases. Any road imperfections are damped so well the the car never comes unsettled. I can take bumps in the road with complete confidence. That must mean dg-5's are even more awesome

Then again, this is also coming from someone supporting a freakin' strut & spring combo

Just saw this. You must not have Kidneys. My Megan Tracks rode better than Super Drifts, and no, my Super Drifts were not blown. I've owned Super Drifts, Stance, Megan Tracks, and Fortune Auto, and the Super Drifts were by far the worst riding coils, and they upset the chassis second easiest to the Megans, which just had ridiculously high spring rates. My Fortunes were great, but I sold that car a long time ago.

Next time, think a little before you post, you have no idea what someone has experience with.

You didn't specify the model in which you are asking about. And since you didn't specify, they/he/she assumed that you're talking about EVX's.

You should also define "good" and "bad." Are you looking for superior ride quality? A certain price point? Do you care at all about how good the damper is?

my bad people, I didn't know there were more than one models of these coilovers. I'm specifically looking for the EXV's . How's the ride quality and damper on them? What other coilovers do they compare too?

Whats good for one person wont necessarily mean it'll be good for you. Your best option honestly is ride in somebody's car who got a certain coilover. If you like it, get that.

I'm taking a risk on Fortune Auto 500s just cuz I have not actually riden in one before but everybody keeps hyping them up. Hopefully, my kidney, lowerback and Virginia hwy wont hate custom 11/9 spring rates.

Good luck to you for when they start to fail, especially if you're running pillow ball mounts. Zero 2's = non rebuildable, at all.

don't mean to bump this, but I was looking at these koni's
KONI Sport Shock Absorber/Strut for 1997 NISSAN 240SX | AJUSA.com
and was wondering if they would be good for daily driving or just get coilovers.

Shocks and springs setup will almost always be smoother than coilovers. Just be aware, those shocks are inserts so I hope you know how to stall them or taking them to a legit shop. You can also run tokicos, that are a full shock replacement vs inserts.

Not to mention they just came out with the ISIS Pro model, which though I am not usually big on "budget" parts, I really have to give them some due...

They look extremely well built. ESPECIALLY for the price.
