You are on a 240sx forum. 240s are a popular drift car. When you bash on drifting, even as a joke, expect to get flamed.

Drifting is an impressive display of car control

You can quote me on that...I think it's cool. HOWEVER I don't like it when ppl drift in public intersections where other cars are present (you have green they are stopped at red), on in neighborhoods , or anywhere else where you would endanger someone else other than yourself...and that includes taking passengers for rides.

I also don't like it when inexperienced drivers attempt to drift...it's like trying to do the high dive when you can't do much more than tread water

I'll move it to OT for now and see how it goes...

I think was trying to express something to the effect of the pot calling the kettle black, due to the improper grammar in the flash animation.

haha, I do agree with kevin. it gets on my nerve how people who know very little about 240sx go "so you go drifting all the time with your car right?"

I for one totally suck at drifting, or pretty much, can't drift. about a week ago, I pulled thru this turn real hard and drifted the car. I did attempt to drift, knowing I shouldn't. Nice, drift, but my car ended up fishtailing, doing a 180, and facing kevin head on right as kevin was coming out of the turn... He did not know why i went thru it so fast, nor what the road was like in that situation almost got him killed. Why? I got a lil adrenaline rush and got caught up with this drifing fad. YES I AM AN IDIOT.
word of advice i got from someone... learn how to drive real damn well with all 4 wheels on gripping the ground before you start to go "drifting"

Anyways, I know kevin is pretty good a drifting, esp power over drifts. Its not scary when I ride in his car when he does it either, he controls the car well so the movements are predictable...

and yes KEVIN, you're going to give me a seizure.. god damn it.

Well, I can hope!

That turn WOULD have made for an excellent drift, had it been on a track.. Granted, we were in an industrial zone, and there's probably 150% less chance of hurting anyone but ourselves, but it's not worth taking the risk of that, much less the legal implications. I did drift that one a little bit just because I was following you going into it quick, and the combination of a jab of the brakes and my oversteering made me slide a bit.. It was funny to see you on the wrong side facing the wrong way.. I thought I was in Japan again for a half second!
