Hesitation at ~1800k RPM. Just doesn't want to go over that. Kind of weird because I have done pulls up to 5k since I drove it. I'm thinking it could be timing, boost leak, MAF, ECU, etc. FYI, I've only had it installed a week or so, it has barely been driven first due to an overheating issue and now this hesitation/not boosting problem.

As for timing, what should I be around? I know stock base timing is 20 +or- 2. I retarded it back to ~14 that my friend said I should but I think it made the hesitation worse. Just not real sure about where I need my timing at. Any suggestions? Rules of thumb etc?

Boost leaks I need to look into tomorrow, MAF I cleaned a little but I don't know how to test. ECU I hope it isn't because if it is that is an expensive problem..

Any suggestions are appreciated. I've been lurking all over KA-t.org but I can't make a post as I'm still in the newbie period, can't make a thread.

My setup is basically stock SR setup, running stock boost

SR T25
Emance tuned for N60/370s/T25
N60 Maf
370cc SR injectors
Custom HMIC setup, No bov
Bottom mount Isis mani
stock SR elbow (slight leak from turbo elbow, where the tube would go into it
3" downpipe to test pipe to buddy club spec II
walbro 255

Have yet to get my boost gauge in to monitor that, waiting on a harness for my AEM wideband and also need to get my SAFC wired in.

Are you using an SR20 rubber intake? If so does it have the spring in it to keep it from collapsing?

You really shouldnt drive it until you get your wideband and boost gauge working.

Yes, I am using an SR stock rubber intake. It has the spring inside as well.

I'm not planning on driving it really until I do get those hooked up. The harness is at a friends, and I just need a fitting for the vacuum line to hook up the gauge.

What are you spark plugs gapped at?

I have them at ~.044

So did changing your plug gap help with your hesitation?
