Potentially joining the 240 fam, need advice

Test driving a 1990 240sx manual on Sunday. What should I look for to help me decide to purchase or walk away. How bad is it that the speedo doesn't work? Thanks in advance

1.) It does have a manual sunroof - why is that bad? Prone to leaks?
2.) Where do I look for said brown wire & what is it for
3.) Best place to look for bent frame rails?
4.) "Has some minor rust" not sure extent

i think the bigger questions here are:

what are your technical capabilities?
what are your financial capabilities?
what are your goals for the car?
