s13 S13 making air compressor gun sounds?

As the title says, every few minutes while driving at medium ram's on the highway, my s13 makes a very loud sound, that is identical to air blasting out of a compressor gun. At first it sounded like it may be coming from my rear left coilover, but that wouldn't make much sense, and I have no sagging or oil leaking from the CO.
Since then, the sound seems to be coming from the engine bay, around the left side.
Car is a N/A Ka24e, all stock, all brand new vacuum hoses, new fan clutch.
Any ideas would be helpful, I can't find anything online about this.

Is there anyway to take a video of the sound? It really could be literally anything.

I tried, but you couldn't hear it from inside the car over the exhaust. It only happens while driving at around 70mph though. It wouldn't be a coilover though, right? Probably a dumb question, but just want affirmation on that. Lol

s13

No rubbing, I do have fender liners but those look to be in perfect condition. Will do though. I have a blacktop on order right now, this sound is just freaking me out. Hahaha

you said "air blasting out of a compressor gun" do you mean one that just blows air, or did you mean a impact wrench? I would assume you mean just the sound of air hissing out of some where. I would go back over all your vacuum lines and make sure none have came off anywhere. also check you egr tub for cracks or breaks. Last thing would be to check the intake manifold gasket. Spray WD-40 on each runner where it meets the head. The engine will idle up if there is a leak.

I had a KA24E that had a sound of air. It was a bad intake manifold gasket.

If it's a bad gasket, would it only make the odd sound every 15 minutes or so? I'll do that tomorrow and see what results I get. Thanks for all the suggestions, Thugs.
