How important is it that I tighten the valve cover bolts to the right tq spec? Can I just use my regular socket and still be fine?

My hatch has a weird ticking coming from the middle to rear end. I haven't been able to pin point it; but it only ticks when moving and ticks faster as speed increases and at 17mph i get a shake in the rear end. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I recently installed my bn sports hatch. when I removed the stock hatch, I cut the wires coming from the chassis ( for the defroster and 3rd brake light I assume) . Well the 15a fuse (stop lamp) blew. I replaced it and then when I stepped on the brakes, it blew immediately. So I'm assuming its because theres an exposed wire in the circuit. So how do I get it to where that fuse stops blowing? Do I need to cap off that wire?

1. No you don't have to drain the oil

2. Just take out the guide. It's super easy. With the chain grinding away on the guide, there'll be small metal particles in your oil. I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with that yet, but I'd prefer to have fresh clean oil in my engine.

3. Yes

4. Yes

for the rears, allen wrench bolts, for the front i have it ziptied to my passenger sun visor, cause my windshield top is tinted to its hard to see and cause im not putting holes in my bumper for shit. or tamper proof bolts, they cost a bit and you need a special drill bit to put em on. but worth it

my question, who steals plates?

on board diagnostics, obd. obd1(01 lol)

obd1 started in like 88 to 94-95 i believe. not sure on the start date really. all it had was pretty much check engine light codes, all of it was manufacture specific, so nissan obd plugs wont be the same as toyota obd plugs. really no performance gain other than you can do much more with the engine without throwing codes, like turbo and what not.

obd2, you have much more communication with the engine. Any little issue that can occur will be stored on the diagnostics log and you can check it with a scanner, most plugs are also universal. Only problem, it communicated with alot of stuff in your engine so you cant really remove stuff without getting codes, like emissions stuff and shit.

Modifications are easier with obd0/1 engines, cause it isnt really informative or controlling, but obd2 makes it easier to troubleshoot your engine in the event of a problem

may be an axle, worn rotor, or gear. my brake pad slipped off the shim and wore into my rotor. creating a tick that eventually grew into a whine. check everything in your back end

do all work wheels (in my case work mesters s1) always have the word "work" engraved in between the spokes on the face of the wheel?

For your front plate, is that legal? lol

& to answer your question, I don't even know, man. I drove my dad to Costco to go get some groceries and when we came back to my car, someone stole my rear license plate. Maybe they wanted to take my tags, idk. But whatever it's all said and done.

LOL man thats bogus as hell, lame thieves

i honestly dont even know if its legal, but it shows and i have a front plate. so they can suck my nuts, its a loop hole pretty much, as long as it shows. just like how some people stuff it behind their bumper ziptied to the radiator/support, same concept but different area

i would rather have a ticket for like obstructed view of license plate or some bullshit than no plate at all, you know?

If the gasket is in good shape reuse it. It never hurts to get a new one though...

is there a separate fuse for each, or something i should look at? i find it wierd that only one side works, since they should all have 4 separate connections... you know what i iz sayn

Is there any aftermarket s13 silvia front bumper that somewhat resembles the jdm aero bumper? I want a subtle look like that.

theres an auto parts store that carries the hard to find stuff,
they are on la Brea and Adams in los angeles,
just exit the 10fwy and take la Brea south and turn right on Adams blvd, they are located right after the autozone on the corner.
I am assuming those are special gapping spark plugs? I got mine there no one else had them. they ordered them and had them by the afternoon.
