The color is an original Nissan color used on the 240z and Hakosuka GT-R. It is my favorite Datsun/Nissan color and was the one on the 240Z my dad and I restored together. It's perfectly fitting for my vision of a restored Z31 version of a Datsun 240Z Z432.

The body should be painted tomorrow!

All that is left now is cutting the holes in the front fenders for JDM mirrors then mounting the doors. Color later today and clear tomorrow supposedly. Also took the R30 for the likely last drive before winter.

Since the FJ20 was basically the prototype to the SR20 how does it feel in comparison? I would guess that they drive very similarly.

I love the FJ20! And yes, very similar in power delivery to the SR. Has a unique sound though.

Final body work on the sectioned, shortened and shaved rear bumper! This ended up being the most challenging part of the project so far.

3rd most difficult part of the project. Behind the engine bay/S14 rear subframe swap.

This bumper is intended to look more like a kouki rear without the over riders/bumper crash bulges. It's sectioned into 7 pieces, shortened to the body by 2-3" and then shaved. Entirely made from a zenki bumper.

To say I am impressed with the way the rear bumper came out would be an understatement. Also, he wasn't quite happy with the engine bay so he is spraying it again.
