s14 Intermittent speedo

hello everyone,

Iv have my a 96 240sx SE for about 5 months now and iv noticed about 1/8 of the time while driving my speed will drop to zero. Sometimes it will come back after driving for awhile or immediately and some times it will stay off even after i turn off and restart the car. One time i noticed as i rolled up my window it shot back up to speed. Not really a big deal right now, iv learned the rmp's so its never too sketchy with cops around, just an inconvenience. Any ideas on where i should start would be nice, thanks.

wiring +1, also the teeth on the speedo could be wearing down. happened to me twice.

it's just plastic so look into replacing it, as a possibility
