Your car will be such a monster with less vacuum and throttle response, you'll be so happy you went sideways to the stock, wrong, cam, instead of a real cam meant to complement your other modifications that not only need to breathe more, but also offer a trade off for the performance you're losing.

Stock cars are not fun to drive on the street, even with spirit, if you do all the easy hot rod things but none of the hard ones. You'll have less throttle response down low, but you don't have any mods that make your engine make power at actual high RPM, so it just becomes a dog all over the tach. It's like how your CAI says "BWAHHHHHSSSSH" when you punch it, but your car is slower than it used to be.

Oh wow thanks for your input “mechanical moron”, I didn’t even have to ask for it. This isn’t a discussion topic, don’t need your opinion, just looking to buy this item and that’s it

This is a thread where you get the advice you need, not the stupid you want.

You are referring to a stock cam with numbers because, and only because, you read that write up on nico. It's old school hot rod techniques applied somewhere it doesn't exactly fit, by people working with butt dynos and who have never touched a performance part. It's cool that their cars still mostly worked, but it's not a way forward in 2020, unless your time is worth fucking nothing.

You could put a similar amount of total effort in, go to work, buy a real part, and have a better car.

Well I have trust in my tuners word vs some dipshit on this forum. Especially one that refers to himself as a moron lol

Go fourth and bring me a 248 stock exhaust cam, in accordance with the ancient ways and traditions of the 1998 boyracer....
