Man this car looks great. You made some good choices early on! Reminds me a lot of the early days of my build, especially being a red pignose hatch.

Keep it up and post some pictures with all four square wheels as soon as you get that hub back on!

Thanks man, appreciate it.

Got the hub back on a few hours ago. The plan was to drive it tonight actually, but I cpuldn’t because I ruined one of my axle nuts with the 8 pound sledge. Expect an update tomorrow or the next day for sure!

Thanks bud

Finally lowered it to the ground today!

Ran the ride height wayyy too low initially and ripped up my tire. No wire showing though. Weird issue with the rear, where one side sits lower even though I measured the threads and set the preload at the exact same settings.

Messed with the ride height a little, and hammered the lip on the rear fenders a little bit. Gonna revisit this tomorrow; raise the rear a few cm, lower the front a few cm, and try get the lip completely flat.

Met some cool guys at one of my first car meets. Evo IV (not pictured), an S15 Spec-S, and me and my buddy's cars.

Drove a new spot for the first time, the grip was crazy good. Definitely gotta raise the rear though, because I was rubbing on every little bump.

Still debating with myself whether I should get the backspacing machined down, or if I should run a mildly aggressive pull...

Front

Rear

That's all for now. Plans are to get it aligned, fenders rolled, harness tucked, and just enjoy it before I go off to university.

why not just get R33's and sell the G33? Then you wont have to machine anything.

That would sit 15mm further in and hit all kinds of shit up front if I don’t want to run spacers. Don’t think they clear my brakes either.

Such a clean survivor hatchback. I wouldn't pull the rear fenders for G33s.

Thank you!

Probably just gonna flatten the lip and MAYBE run a slight pull. Getting it aligned Friday and will probably get the backspacing machined down. The rear doesn't need that much, 1-2mm. The fronts though, they probably need around 3-5mm if I'm trying to run close to 0 degrees.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they're only on CDM cars. Still really tempted to go kouki front end, but if you have any suggestions to make the pignose look a little more aggressive, I'm open to it!

Got it aligned today. Really happy with how it's driving now, really fun ride.

Was out in the backroads and hit a big bump, dented one of my fenders and ripped up the tire again. I'm thinking the dampening knob is set full soft on that side, while the other side is set a few clicks from full soft. I'll check it out in a few hours.
