Hmm mine fit on with no modification. Check you have the mounts oriented correctly.

Did you round out that hole on the bottom left of the picture too or optical illusion?

Optical illusion. And yeah according to the instructions, in order to place the mount in the forward most bracket configuration I had to notch it or it slid rub the turbo hardline

So I know this thread is dead but I just wanted to post my own experience with the $4 Rock auto mount in the first post and the $12 crossover radiator pipe. The mount fit 100% bolt on minus having to drill the holes about 1mm longer, and the pipe fits great. I'm using xcessive brackets, oem mounts with the lips shaved, and the $4 Rock auto trans mount

Has anyone tackled AC yet? If not I'll take the plunge when putting my motor in. Got close to 120 here in Phoenix so far this summer, currently my ka has crazy good AC. Curious if it would be easier to make a bracket and custom lines, or run the 1j compressor and custom lines

bmaddock, thank you for this awesome guide! It gets tough having to look at 10 different ones of these for different cars to get the information you need so I really appreciate you putting it into one for us!

I was wondering if anyone has run into the ignition immobilizer issue yet and if there is an easy way to overcome this if I want to start out with my stock ecu? It's been a while since I did the original research, but my belief is that my motor is from a jzs171 crown and that it has an ignition immobilizer within the ecu because it is the newest ects-i model.

From what I have searched, cheapest route would be to buy another stock ECU without the immobilizer.
