ive got 123k on mine, im the third owner, and the last owner took no care of this car whatsoever. however, it still has the original exhaust, i mean the one from the day it rolled off the assembly line mind you, and other than a bad clutch and a few dents, she runs great.

Irving18m, please do not revive any more old threads. Make sure to check the post dates before making a new post. This thread was over a year old when you brought it back.

My friends SOHC KA went to 244,000. and the only reason he took the motor out was because he swapped in an SR. My SOHC has about 122,000

58K on my 90 SOHC, 54K when I bought it last year.

No I'm not joking.

Replaced all the wear and tear items as soon as I got it.

With proper maintenance I think any engine can run up to AT LEAST 100K and not be a honda.

i'm at 248k on a s14 zenki. I've had great luck with this car.

only replaced alternator about a year ago, a clutch, brakes, fluids.
I'm the second owner, but I dont think the previous owner did much more than a clutch.

I have z brakes, LSD, shocks springs and strut tower bars.

Fun story for those who are bored.

Bought my '92 in '95 with 23K on it. Did 5 speed swap at the beginning of last year had about 163K. After swap, was on the way to friend's house to work on something else, looked down at 80mph and Temp was past H on gauge. Stopped and finally after letting it cool and pouring coolant in made it to friend's house.

Found out water pump had leaked all coolant out. Replaced water pump, installed temp gauge and oil pressure guage. Still ran hot, finally figured out that headgasket was blown, only leaking pressure into coolant at higher RPMs. Bought new KA with 80K miles on it, installed along with some other fun parts on the car. Had it running 2 weeks and got hit by an 18-wheeler, car totalled.

Now, bought '93 with a '96 engine at about 160K miles and the 80K mile engine is backup for when the turbo blows the old one. Bad year last year.
