So this is my car
1993 Nissan 240SX White Hatch WAS Auto converted to Manual SSR Mesh Cusco Coilovers Cusco front and rear strut Cusco tension rods Cusco shift knob Nismo brace G Spec C Pillar bar HKS Exhaust Kouki turn signals Kouki tail lights S14 Seats Sparco Steearing Wheel NRG quick release Clean un cracked dash Broadway mirror BONE Stock KA24DE Her name is Mary Kate because she is the second white hatch I owned. My first one I sold to my friend and her name was Ashley. I last saw her parked where I left her in Northridge by CSUN on the streets of Zelzah and Lassen under this 40mph sign on Saturday 11:30 P.M. I woke up the next morning on my way to church. Sunday 10:00 A.M. I walk out and discover my car was gone. Filed a police report and made this silvia stolen car post. Thanks to Maiku240sxS14 he found my car and gave me a call Monday morning at 8:55 A.M. and 9:01 A.M. and I missed it. He called me again at 11:18 A.M. and told me the bad news. Its on De Foe Ave in Pacoima between the streets of Pierce St and Airpark Way by Whiteman Airport. I drove to the location to see it sitting there missing my Kouki tails of course but my exhaust and wheels still on?!?!?! Im not upset I get to keep those but why? Anyways I was very devastated and had mixed emotions. Its very had to see my baby stripped down of all her goods. For safety I watched from a distance and called police. I waited about 20 minutes and they finally came to check the car for my first making sure there were no bombs weapons or any suspicious drugs and etc. Car was clear. They let me take a look to see what I have left :'( Attention!!! The following images are disturbing.. Idk what to say...what I loss? What they left? They left my stock motor. I thought they would take it. For a 1993 bone stock engine with only 152,XXX Miles is pretty rare to find. They also left my Nismo brace, cusco tension rods, HKS exhaust and my SSR mesh wheels. They also left my LSD and kouki metal panel which you desperately need -_____- the did take the cusco coil overs and left me some aftermarket shocks...blue ones. they were nice enough.. the scene was every car tuners nightmare.. BEFORE and AFTER I had my own towing company tow it back to my mechanic. We are currently in the process of putting it back together better than ever. She'll be back on the road. damn...sorry to hear that bro. but in honestly, i wanna say u got a little lucky. They could've have taken the wheels and some other stuff. maybe i missed it but i dunno if they took your coilovers. But if they didn't the biggest loss would be the tail lights but those can be replaced. or did they really take the time to take the wheels off and take the coils and put stock suspension and put ur wheels back. You'll be back on the road in no time bud.

Wow, is there a shortage of interior parts or something these days? Your engine bay looks intact and the interior gutted... Body still looks in the same condition so thats definitely a plus. Glad you got the car back. Most people never get to see their car again.
edit: Also, ALARM SYSTEM + KILL SWITCHES!!! Start planning your car's security now.

Seriously they took a bunch of stuff thats worth less than $100 a piece. Biggest loss was the coils and tail lights.
I am planning its next security. Already in the process. No I refused to do that. It would lag my rebuilt time be to much of a hassle and not even match any prints registered to the DMV. |

So does anyone have any idea why they would leave me the valuable parts they left?
I was expecting to lose more but I guess I'm just thankful I was able to retrieve half my stuff. I also lost a lot of sentimental things that don't even have to do with the car :/ This is so sad.. |

Damn those pics make me sad. Shit pisses me off. People put so much time and love into something for some punk ass to just take it. Up side is you got it back with some stuff still on it. Good luck getting her back together man.

Dude, at least your shit isn't at the bottom of a canal somewhere. All the stuff they took can be replaced for a couple grand, fuckin sucks but most people that get their shit jacked never get it back.

Definitely seems like someone stole yours to pretty up their own. Possibly someone you know or have met. Because to go through the trouble of taking off panels, seats, dash, and swapped coils (wtf?), but leave you your wheels and exhaust just seems odd.
It's like they raped you, but were nice enough to lube you and even give you a reach around.

Good to see you got the car back. I would be upset/depressed too. Check craigslists for certain parts. Don't rule out that they may be selling those parts that they took or the parts that they replaced. |

Damn dude that sucks. That's why I got cameras to protect my stuff. Attachment 41917
I'll be head hunting if anything happened to my coupe Attachment 41918. Glad you got your car back cause some people end up with nothing. It's insane some people steal stuff rather then working for it. I work hard just for someone to come around and take my belongings. :/ Last edited by JaysPerformance; 08-28-2012 at 08:32 AM.. |

Glad You found it in decent shape. Weird shit is that, that they DID leave the wheels and exhaust, engine etc. Something is not matching up. Unless, they were just some 15-ish or so year old crooks. G'luck getting it back together. Invest in the damn security - every single stolen thread mentions that the owner had neither - alarm or kill bitches. (:

Possible reason why they didn't take the wheels and exhaust is because if they were trying to unload it on a forum or Craigslist it'd probably be a dead give away. The rest of the items could be easily parted with no worries. If OP's dash was super clean I'd keep an eye out for that.
Though could simply be these folks didn't have access to a jack, stands, and cinder blocks at the time. People are definitely from the area as well. Not many people would have thought of ditching that car there. Hell, location is good enough to even do a full strip down of the car there without people noticing or caring.

i want to install a remote/concealed tazer under the dash so at the push of a button it flys out to deliver 1,000's of volts right in the dick of the prick who tries to steal my car. i guess having some kind of camera in the visor to record his reaction would be pretty cool too... lol
