Laguna Again a Year Later 11/20
A year later, better driver and a few more suspension...
Since then my time from 1:58 dropped to 1:44 with fully lifting now between turn 5 and 6 due to sound restrictuions. Upgraded to Feal 442s, better brake balance from 15/16 to (65/35) a 1" BMC (70/30) brakes work a lot better and also rear Geomaster 3 knuckles and Hoosier 200tw TrackAttack Pros.... Future goal soon is more driving and hope hit 1:37 because I think I can do 1:40 pretty good without restrictions. Enjoy!

Just saw your post. I took my S15 out to Laguna Seca with SpeedSF. Ran a 1:54. It's my first time running the Silvia Spec R on track. Car is a mostly stock street car. Kinda low on power but it is a fun and light weight car. 225/255 Bridgestone RE71RS tires.
I used to run 1:45 at Laguna Seca in my M3 which I sold for the Silvia. |

Awesome, I think Patrick (SpeedSF) organizer took a video of your cars interior! Super Clean! I will run a lot of Speed SF track weekends and Nasa but usually prioritize Friday's cause I can get them off easier....
I am trying to hit 1:37 at Laguna.... Specs are Track Attack Pro 275/35/18 square. Running close to 400wHP... Going to PM you my IG and FB.... hopefully we can coordinate something!

Yeah, I had a bunch of people come over to check out the car. I'm going for a resto-OEM plus kind of build. OEM where ever possible but updating to more modern and reliable components without detracting from OEM originality. I've reconditioned a lot of stuff and replaced a lot of OEM stuff with brand new OEM components. Nissan still stocks a lot of new parts for the S15. Ideally the non performance stuff should look like brand new showroom condition. These cars are now rolling collectible classic cars and I won't be doing anything that is not reversible. As the car is now, it is approaching 6 digits in cost... That also means this car will probably never be very fast on track... I've made my peace with that. And I can stay under 90db at Laguna Seca all day long. haha |
