You've got to be very patient to sell this particular one. I'm sure there's someone out there willing to fetch $9-10K for it. Hope that lucky one will never molest it though.

I honestly think you can get 10k for the car. Keep in mind its a 98 last year made for the kouki 240sx. The car is gorgeous and looks like its been very well maintained. Dont let anyone bug you about your price. N for you people are complaining about the price. If it doesnt sell who gives a fuck he ll drop the price if he wants to. HAVENT U HEARD YOU GOTTA PAY TO PLAY ! GLWS

I had one just like this as my first car back in 04', I love pearl white. |

$10k is fucking nuts, I can't bear to pay that much for stock 1997 S14 when I paid $13,500 from a dealer in 2000. With the way the economy has been the last few years, finding people with that much cash to throw away for a stock car is far and few in between. No bank in their right mind will loan you $10k for a 240sx.
The funny thing is, there's another clean white kouki right below this thread, with a fairly modded SR swap for $12.5k. |

LOL If it were mine I'd try and sell it for that much if I wasn't in a rush.
That being said the one I bought was originally going for 12k, a bunch of people put down his asking price too (fliprayzin240sx being one of them), I told him how much I would pay, he countered, now its mine. Can't remember if I paid 9k or 9.5k though. He was in no rush to sell, I was looking for something I could 100% call my own, and I had the cash laying around. GLWS OP, just wait and you'll get close to your asking price. |

I've seen this car in person many times. Extremely legit. Owner is very meticulous, so this 240sx has been perfectly maintained. It's definitely the cleanest stock Kouki that I know exists...and it's for sale!
GLWS man.

Thank you Since I "finished" it last year I've been contemplating a slightly more mild s14 build, and yours is looking like a prime candidate. Have you any interest in an Italian sport bike? 2004 Aprilia Tuono 1000, Cincinnati OH - 102705320 - Cycletrader.com

as mentioned, i think OP should hold firm to 10k+.
people fall in love with certain cars and im sure theres people that truly love the kouki in stock form. those people are the ones willing to pay asking price for a clean condition car like this. that being said i think there are plenty of examples of "economic cars" that still hold much value. some examples include: ap1 - ive seen these go for around 20k even for higher mileage clean conditioned versions. mr2 turbo - same story with the condition of the car and the audience viewing it. there are many that would pay 10k for a clean example 240z - these are over 40 years old and craigslist has slighly rusted examples going for the same numerical dollar price as they sold back then. (i know inflation but if you're talking about halfsies, i think this would apply) z32 - clean twin turbo low mileage examples are still asking for mid teens. this is my love. i would pay 15k for a low mileage clean example that was unmodified. eg civics - same condition original examples that are un modified (read: unmolested) are going for around 6, and this car new was around 10k. generally, modifications lower resale value. so whoever said they wouldnt pay this much for a stock car is absolutely wrong. if you had a classic car and had it appraised (typically clean examples of real classic cars are investments) modifications would lower bring your overall value down. cars are poor investments. i wouldnt recommend anyone to "invest" in a car. I think the true meaning of the word "invest" gets lost around here as adding mods to a car is not investing into it. rather just depreciating the asset with non original parts, regardless of how "rare jdm" the part is or who tuned it. OP: free bump for you. i like your car. im not interested in buying it but if i were in the market for one. i would highly consider paying your asking price for it. i got love for all nissan sports cars. and clean examples are hard to come by especially within the s-chassis community where 80% of the owners drift/crash/hellaflush their cars. |
