used 1080ti makes it hard to justify any other purchase unless you can’t afford it, or money is no object. It was such a good buy for me even at $800 back in ‘17

as the rtx lineup goes to show, having raytracing is one thing but being able to use it in any meaningful way is another. Not optimistic next year any gpu can take meaningful advantage of it.

from what i heard. amd RT will be totally different vs nvidia RT. making it a dead end, when the consoles comes out or devs will have to add nvidia RT to their games.

I hope all that is true. I’d love for a card to be able to hit closer to 144hz at 1440p. The 1080ti is still powerful but is starting to show its age.

I also hope that Zen 3 finally matches or surpasses whatever intel is offering. Pipe dream but I’d like 9700k performance from their R5 4600.

My 1080ti not keeping up as much as I'd like. I was getting around 40fps, ultra settings, 3440p with some of this year's newer games. was getting under 10fps with the cutscenes in Kingdom Come.

I don't mind waiting a year or so for something better b/c the 2080ti doesn't make sense as an upgrade from the 1080ti.

I'm glad to see someone still running 1080ti.

I've been away for a while but I had a package stolen which would have been the other 50% of my dual custom loop GPU cooler, so I ended up doing a single loop anyway with my 1080ti.

Thanks dude! YUP! Still rocking the 1080Ti. I bought it towards the summer end of 2018 for $799 after the price drop. It was hiked up because of the bitcoin mining. The price of 2080 Ti's are ridiculous!

Right now I'm focusing on my S13 and the sim rig. Spring is going to come up fast.
