A -6an line from the tank is more than enough for a LS swap. Im running a kyosan supra pump and it supports my lq9s2 swap just fine. Vette regulator on frame rail near passenger rear tire with a short return back to tank. Barbed fittings can covert the two rubber hoses from the tank unit to an hoses relatively cheap.

Drove another DriftSTL event yesterday. Car drove awesome, I ended the day with a seized rear caliper, but still had an absolute blast!!

Its the Stealth Custom Fab brace. I'm also running the rear strut brace and tension rod brace. They are all super legit.

That's what I figured. I have the front one too. For the people that don't have one they are legit and make a world of a difference unlike that crap with hinges.

So back to the building..

I finally got my handbrake welded in before the last event. It locks instantly and I am really happy with the outcome.




But during the event, both of my rear calipers seized...

So I picked up a set of reman'd calipers..




I also made a purchase that I am really excited about..

PBM Super Angle Forged Knuckles and Steering Rack Eccentric Bushings


(and some beer)

I also have some other plans for the winter, hopefully a cage and seats and a few other pieces to be more competitive.

So the last event of 2014 was cancelled due to weather reasons. So the 2014 season is over and the prep for 2015 begings.

I also picked up some PBM FLCA/Tension Rod combo and inner tie rod. So for 2015 Ill be running:
-PBM Super Angle Knuckles
-PBM FLCA/Tension Rod
-PBM Inner/Tein Outer tie rod
-PBM Ecentric Steering Rack Bushings





I also picked up a Bride FG Seat Rail and a Corbeau 5pt Harness for a bucket seat I will be putting in




The LS is healthy and running great. I have no plans for it this winter. Dont mess with something that works.



I will also be having a full cage welded in this winter also, but Ill be be putting on the new front suspension parts first and get that all sorted out.

So finally heres an update on the year so far.

I got the PBM FLCA/Tension rod and knuckles all sorted with Z32 Brakes. I hated having to ditch the Wilwoods, but I ended making money off the situation. Oh well

Last weekend on the 4th, Street Driven Tour came through town and was held at Gateway Raceway. This was my first big event this year and I am very happy with the outcome. The car drove great and the course was awesome.

So the year has been going great. I’ve invested more into drifting this year than ever before, and honestly drove lessthan any other year. But it will all pay off next year hopefully.



So I drove a few events..

Then I decided it was FINALLY time to cage the car. A good friend of mine offered to do my cage to help fund his PRO2 season, so he knocked out an awesome cage for me. I’m really stoked on the end result. I also had him fab a custom seat bracket and also put a 3” v-band clamp so I can remove my exhaust from the axle back.

I was able to get the cage finished two weeks before the Final round of Midwest Drift Union's Final Round 4. This was my first FD PROAM event and I was pumped. It was held at Gateway Motorsports Park on their road course. This is an awesome course, it’s a fast 4th gear track and demands full commitment to connect the course. This was my 2nd event drifting this course.

This event was stacked with just under 40 seasoned drivers, and only 16 would advance into competition. My goal for this event was to qualify and get a feel for the series to gain confidence going into 2016. Going into qualifying was interesting, I threw down 2 pretty solid runs.

I qualified 14th and went into Top 16 battle against my good friend Steven Fishel (who qualified 3rd).This was my first competition tandem battle, and it went well. Our first round was close and we both put on good lead/follow runs, and the first round resulted in a ONE MORE TIME.

I noticed right before qualifying when changing out my rear wheels that my diff was leaking and the high temp RTV was like melting out (not good). But I kind of ignored the issue, as I didn’t have another diff on hand and I wasn’t going to bow out before qualifying (fuck it)

During the one more time, my diff started to lock up and feel all kinds of weird and inconsistent, which caused me to straighten on both of my runs, which lead to azero and Fishel advanced on (and went on to take 4th in the event). I had an awesome time and met some awesome people at the event.







Going into 2016, I plan on running the full Midwest Drift Union series. I put somemore money into the ole Diesel truck and got access to a 20ft enclosed trailer,so I am all set to hit the road and finally drive more tracks around the Midwest.

I don’t plan on doing much to the car over the winter. I want to tub my front wheel wells, so weather (rain) wont be an issue. Maybe a few suspension adjustments, but I also want to buy a shit ton of tires to go into 2016 with.

No major changes for 2016. I did have my buddy Andrew Lewis fabricate some tubs, the cut out wells needed to go.

Hey man, I had a quick question regarding your clutch setup. So I have the same setup, and I was wondering if you had to put a shim in between the trans and the slave cylinder?

I'm having so much trouble bleeding this clutch pedal, and for some reason I just feel that it is not right.

I'm running a stock slave, Spec 3 unsprung clutch w/ lightweight flywheel, and a 3/4 Willwood clutch master cylinder.

Let me know what info you can provide, thanks in advance.

I am not using any sort of shim in my setup. I do however have the remote speed bleeder line. I know these really make the process much easier and many people use them. But I haven't had any of the issues you described, sorry man.

First event of 2016 was awesome. There was some ownership transitions within the DriftSTL community and my good friend ended taking ownership. I think this was a good move for the STL community and the first event was rowdy.


So I bought a truck a year ago but haven't bought a trailer yet.... so I drove to the event as usual.





The weather was awesome and over 40 drivers showed up.





The LS ran awesome and the track was wide and open and was a great course to dust off the winter off season.




















We even had a car flip over in the parking lot after making contact with a k barrier. That sucks... but the driver was fine





The event was a great start to the year. The 240 drove home safely and afterwards I had some bomb BBQ and beers with the lady to celebrate.
