You probably won't catch anything on fire but you are going to have an exhaust gas leak. I've had one of those before and it's smelly and headache inducing.

Will I still be able to build boost? What are the cons of this

It might build but it wont hold. Of course heating and cooling will make the crack bigger. If you can get your money back, do it.
