Nice and clean setup but the numbers seems high to me, either your dynapack reads high or mine reads low...
Previous setup: GT2560R FMIC N60 10psi Etc WHP and boost Last edited by redpotatoes; 12-20-2010 at 07:05 AM.. |

I'm putting together a similar project. t25, megan manifold, frontmount, sr injectors, z32 maf full 3in exhaust, jwt ecu, refreshed 92 motor. question is how much power can i expect from this setup? also how good is the jwt ecu? I'm hoping for 240hp at 10 psi

Expect between 190-220whp depending which dyno you use. Your HP limitation at those numbers are your turbo and injectors. |

Awesome build, reading it as I drink my sam adams! I'm going the same route on my s14. I'm saving up for an rb swap, hopefully in about a year or so, but since I can't wait for boost I'm throwing a budget setup on my current ka for now. Ran a compression test on my ka a few days ago and it was around 180 across, pretty good for a 130k ka. Setup will consist of sr t25, s13 smic n piping, dsm bov resirculated, egay bottom mount mani, 370cc's, n60 maf, aem uego, stock elbows, egay dp and exhaust, still debating on the tune. U'll be surprice at the deals u can find when u look in the right places and if u do all the work on urself u save on the most expensive area, the labor. Great inspiration here man, thanks. Hopefully I don't blow/damage my engine 'cause my other s14 is already waiting for that ka after I get the rb ...does anyone know if there are any usdm air filter boxes out there that fit on the s-chassis and point the maf towards the exhaust? I know its a long shot but screw it!

i actually just finished my small turbo build and only spent about 800 overall on parts including tune, over the coarse of the last year just collecting deals.
my setup now is: -no name bottom mount manifold -t25 turbo -ebay oil feed line plate with bango connection for the turbo (easier to use in my opinion) -circuit sport 3" downpipe -s13 sr smic with bov -370cc injectors -stock maf -e-mance tune -3" megan racing catback with megan test pipe and honestly, car runs really smooth, no CEL, and pulls really hard. i love it. heres a pic, not the cleanest but works Last edited by ddf2006; 10-13-2011 at 01:01 AM.. Damn. these simple setups are popping up a lot lately. So cheap, so good.
Here's mine. S14 BB T28 ?kouki? Ebay manifold PLMS Developements daughterboard Got the tune from someone on Hybrid KA forums a few years ago SR370s Stock MAF Small intercooler Ebay BOV oil feed line was made at the local hose & fitting place. 8PSI This car had an RB with a mid mount a few years ago so i used the holes next to the radiator to make the shortest charge piping possible with a front mount. It's about 20" longer than my mid mount on my SR. I added it up and figured I would have paid just under $800 for all the stuff I have, but I traded some and got some for way cheaper than i should have. This pulls hard while my SR (11psi, T25) is spooling up and seems about even at the high end. |

It would take slightly more modifying to use a S14 one due to the intake runner.
It's is sure as hell possible to make it happen though.

s14 ones have the hot pipe coming in from the side to match the cut-out already in the car. s13 ones have both the hot and cold pipes coming from the top that you need to cut. I looked into swapping the smic elbows to match but that was years ago and can't remember the results maybe someone else can chime in. |

^ Don't forget about the throttle body inlet orientation. The great thing about the S13 is that its similar to the KA's; the s14's aims a bit more down so I would assume that the cold pipe might be awkward to connect.
I did this setup back in 05 and loved it. Simple, cheap, efficient and honestly what Nissan should have done; lol. Props on the results. I saw 209rwhp and 242rwtq @ 7psi

This is pretty cool. But dang I feel like 3k is WAY to much especially with all stock parts. He should've just done the work himself, instead of getting raped in labor costs. Installing a turbo really isn't that difficult imo
