Installing hatch on 89 240 s13

Last part to the project I have going is the installation of the hatch, took the old one out cause it was all rusted and all that good stuff, bought a new one (really nice condition may I add) and with 2-3 people installing it it seems impossible. Almost like the hatch was only made possible to be installed when made in the factory, cause there are some places I cant confortably reach.

Any advice? Or if anyone has done this before, let me know. Can't just be me

ive done it 2x...all by my lonesome lol, even got interrupted by police on the first one! that's a fun story! but i used a box end wrench to get the nuts/bolts from the body side of the hinge, disconnected electrical then while supporting the hatch with one hand removed the gas shocks from the body then carefully lifted it from the side of the car (combo with sliding on vehicle) and got it down...i think my second one i did from the rear of the car and it was a little more difficult...for install placed hinges on body, propped hatch up with a stick or pole and install all components!
