positive terminal wiring getting hot s13

Welp, I replaced the 10a fuse to eng cont. on the fusebox because I was getting a charging light and a buzzing sound. It fixed it but the wires going to the positive terminal started smoking. Here are some pics:
Also the red thing came with my wiring specialties lower harness but never installed it. (it has a lock so I don't forget where I put it lol)

The car also has an 125 amp alternator instead of the original 80 amp.

Is that speaker wire????!?!?

I would remove those clear wire and connect the white wires straight to the terminal connector

You can replace the factory terminal with a new battery terminal and just connect the wires straight to that too

Yeah its some gross 16 guage speaker wire :/ (it used to be someone's project). I'm going to go the junkyard tomorrow to cut some of those connectors to plug into the red thing on the battery terminal, for those 2 white wires, do i just crimp them into one bigger wire? Or should I just say screw it and relocate the battery to the back?

Just came back from the junkyard just to find out the idiots cut out the terminal harnesses on ALL the cars. Also scoped out home depot and o'reilly's on the way and found nothing

I went with andisan's suggestion and bought terminal. Does it look okay, kinda worried before I start my car again.

To put an end to the thread, I took the car on a little ride and everything is great, no hot wires or shorting. Thanks again for the help!
