So when i start my car sometimes, especially when I first start it the idle bounces really low, but then after a few seconds it idles perfectly at 700-800 cant really tell, what is causing it to due this? Is it a major problem?

You should get the aftermarket retrofit kit, such as:

Commando Universal 2 Door Power Lock Kit

note, not neccesarily from this site, but one like this. They should ALWAYS be ~$40, so look around for free shipping, coupons, w/e

Hardest part of the install is running the wires through hoses/boots that carry wires from the body into the door.

3-4hrs based on how lucky you get running the wires, included instructions are easy, locks work great. Running on my s14 no problem for 3 years now.

Depends on how handy you are. I built my own using Ford switches and relays according to the diagram here Car Security and Convenience, Power Door Locks, Multiple Wire Systems, Add Auto Lock/Unlock

It works great, and cost about 15 bucks. 13 bucks for actuators and 2 bucks to get into Pick n Pull.

does anybody have any info on a vh45 or lsx swap, but with AUTOMATIC transmission for a S chassis? preferably on a s13... or a picture of a vh45de auto trans next to a KA/SR trans so i can start thinking of the fab that would be involved...

s13 Tire size

Ok I'm not too fresh on tire sizes, but I got a staggered set of wheels 17x7 +38 and 17x9 +35. What tire size fitment would be good on stock s13? I don't want too low profile tires, just normal looking w/ decent tire wall. Any help with tire sizes or suggestions? Thanks.

I finally replaced the fuse for the horn that was blown in my s14 since I got it. But now when I open the doors, trunk, or hood the alarm goes off. How can I fix this? My key doesn't unlock the doors or the trunk either.

I'm saving up for a rocket bunny kit, but love my OEM bumpers and don't want to hurt them beingto low. With that in mind I was thinking of getting a sonic motor or areodesign "supermade style" pop up front to try out. Does anyone know how the fitment is? Or is way off?

Bought an adapter to mount a sending unit for oil gauges. Threads aren't tapped the length of the hole so plugs and sending unit don't sit properly, and there are tons of lovely chips hanging off the interior surfaces. Company hasn't replied to e-mails from Monday. Paypal claim overreacting at this point?

brand new pads/rotors. i dont get it, all set in right all working correctly. but there is rust on the braking surface on the inner of the rotor, not the outer though.

Did you try the torch rubber and cut outer sleeve with hacksaw method? It's pretty easy.

Jack the front up and try moving the wheel side to side (steering motion) to see if there is play in that tie rod. Personally I'd replace just because I don't like dry rotted rubber and it looks like the boot is about to go anyway. Check the spring top hat nut and knuckle to strut bolts for clunking... these like to come loose.

I don't think that part is replaceable.... Couldn't find it either.

Just pay attention to how the pads/rotors wear over time. If they wear uneven then you have a problem.
