Dorisha | Nagano | Kyusha | Shakotan Style Small Wheel Thread [PICS]
Quote:
IIRC those things are 15x8 -28...? Just measure the total rim width (probably 9" wide lip-to-lip if it's an 8" wheel) and measure the backspacing (distance from the plane of the inside lip to the hub mounting face), then calculate the offset. Offset = Backspacing - ((Total rim width)/2) ...which will probably look something like -1.125" = 3.375" - ((9")/2) Or, converted to metric via 1" = 25.4mm... -28mm = 3.375" - ((9")/2)

My reasoning behind smaller wheels if because the focus (for me) is to drift and to drift better and better everytime. This means I practice a lot (on the streets, parking lots, on/off ramps, even into my driveway lol). So this mean I go through tires pretty Damn quick and don't want to drop an ass load of cash everytime that happens. But do I like the style, sure, it's whatever. Do I like bigger wheels, sure, it's whatever. Do I like waisting my hard earned money on $2500 wheels that I can't scratch, or 500 on a pair of tires? Hell fucking no!

drift on 15s guy. i do. my friend did, switched to 17s and wear a lot slower. also most tire stock in the sizes that make 15s look decent on s chassis are old as fuuu and dont last. 15 inch tires are usually only about $10-15 less than something in a 17. at least we arent running battles? |

You do obviously mean to argue. I was referring to 15s on an s chassis. Which pretty much refers to two diff tire sizes. 195/55 or 205/50 for 8s-10. Both tire sizes have very little difference in OD throughout the limited tire selection. 60s IMO are too tall, 50s too short. Unfortunately 15" tires in correct looking sidewall height... Don't have much options in width. Compare this to what people usually run on a 9 or 9.5 width 17 inch wheel, say 215 225/45, and there is a difference. |

i am looking into putting 15x8 on my s14 the wheels are aero racing and can be found on speedwaymotors.com or daymotorsports.com..
problem i am running into is the fact i would have to run 5/8 -18 studs which mean drilling out the rotors and hubs all the way around.
