Yeah there is for dmax type hoods. You either have to notch the vent(s), lower the engine with different mounts or raise the back with spacers. Both SR and KA have this issue.

anybody have a stock hood with vents made into it? something somewhat subtle. I'm trying to think of a good way to get some heat out. not a fan of hood spacers. don't really want an aftermarket hood since the body is stock kouki.

With my d max hood and a clutch fan, heat just bellows out the vents.

Anyone have advice on seating my dmax hood properly?? I have to force it down hard for it to latch. Took off the strut bar and i still gotta shut it hard. Did hood spacers, still the same thing.

Have you tried adjusting the height of the latch mechanism? Not sure if you're still using it or not but sometimes that makes all the difference in the world.
