A Write-Up On How To Use Google for Noobs
Finding out what something in a picture is, is a very simple process. Step 1. Right click the image, save it, right click it on your computer, and go to "properties" and go to the summary tab, a lot of images have a ton of info here about the pictures origin etc. Vista provides more info than XP and goes into more detail like what kind of camera took the picture etc. Step 2. If the info you needed wasn't there or you feel more confident a search will provide you with the results you need, start here:
Step 4. Don't stop at your first result, remember, even if you don't find your answer straight off of your first search, you may find information that will help you refine your search. For instance somebody may post "Oh man I saw a list of manufacturer's codes somewhere but I cant remember where I saw it." in a post on a forum that your first search produced a link to, so now you can search for "Turbo Fartknocker 0875 Manufacturer Code List" and so on until you find all of the information you desire, how deep you want to follow the rabbit hole (or whatever hole your into), is up to you. I mean come on guys, I can understand posting up a blurry picture of a wheel that you cant quite see with no words on it and asking what it is, but posting up pics of something with brand names and numbers written all over it is kinda like asking where your dick is, you should know how to find it (I say guys, because I dont see any ladies posting pictures and asking dumb questions like "What kind of muffler is this? It says HKS on it.") |

ok, but i thought this thread was for identifying parts. obviously if someone used google and searched hard enough they could probably identify anything, making this thread completely useless since everyone loves so much to say use google instead of actually helping people out. the forums would be less cluttered if questions were answered instead of this crap.
