Hiya.. I'm new to this forum <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
Anyways, I just got a 1997 240SX SE. I really like the car as it is, but I'd like to know the insides - How they work, how to fix them, and how to upgrade them. Basically, I want to know everything from engine rebuilding to suspension setups and all that good stuff. But I have one problem: I can't find any shop manuals or guides. I was looking for one at Amazon.com but the 240sx book by Chilton was out of print.

Please, if anyone knows a good book to get or a place to get some '97 240sx literature, please let me know.

I know you can get the manual from your dealership but it will cost you a pretty penny.

I just talked with my local Nissan Dealership today. They said that they don't have the mechanic's book in stock, but they can order it for me from the corporate HQ or something like that. It'll take 2-4 weeks to get, and they say it's gonna cost about 120 bucks.

I don't care though. As soon as I get enough money, I think I'm going to buy that book. It's good to know about one's car. -=^_^=-

You will be WAY happier with the FSM over the Chiltons type Manuals. I love my FSM I got. I threw my Chiltons book away <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
