I don't know if anyone is interested but my dash was recently cracked and was looking into ways to fill the hairline crack. Has anyone tried the dash replacement from Car ID: https://www.carid.com/nissan-240sx-d...rmpnid=1413088

My goals are to learn more about cars in general and have a fun weekend car to take to car shows once in a while. Plan on putting in a gt2871 eventually but not for a little bit. Cars bone stock right now. |

True. Personally I think some proper coils and wheels really change the whole look and feel of the car. If you?re looking for more of a performance change that?s totally dependent on your budget but If I could do it all over again I would have went JZ right out the gate and save my self 4 SR?s and a lot of bolt on money. Otherwise minor bolt on?s are always good to get your feet wet in learning how to work on your car. Turbo, manifold, injectors, etc Check out some of the build threads on here for ideas and just go nuts. Good luck with the build Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Good tire setup for a 400hp-450hp S14?
Having trouble deciding what tire size to run on my S14. Im putting a 1jz and will have it setup for 400hp-450hp. I have 18x9.5 Cosmis wheels all the way around. Also running 50mm overfenders in the rear. It is a street car only so no drifting and will occasionally take it to the drag strip. I was thinking running 235/40/18 in the front and 265/40/18 in the rear. Possibly Nitto Nt05's or Federal 595rs. My main concern is if the tire setup is proper for the horsepower levels I would like to run. This is my first build past 300hp so I looking fo rsome guidance to see if I was in the right ballpark.

For the base s13s without a/c, I'm assuming the hvac controls had a dummy button where the a/c button usually is. Is that correct?
(and does anyone have one)? Can't recall ever seeing one and google image search isn't showing me what I want. |

Quick question about protecting paint while running an aggressive kit! Just picked up my second S14 last weekend and the paint is in immaculate condition. I was wondering if you guys have any methods on protecting your paint from scratches due to a fiberglass kit. My previous S14 had developed deep scratches where the kit rested on the paint (on the door sill and where the rear bumper mounted). Was just curious because I really don't want any scratches underneath from running a kit. General body kit mounting advice will be greatly appreciated.

Can someone verify if this is an HLSD or VLSD? Was swapping out the rear cover for a finned one so first time really looking.
Edit: answered my own question. It's a VLSD with 4.08 (49:12) final drive ratio. Odd, based on the FSM JDM S14 should have had 3.69 gears. Guess reality trumps documentation. Last edited by LoSt180; 06-03-2020 at 09:23 AM.. |
