I use a few depends on were i'm at in the shop or what I'm doing

I mostly use miller dynasty 350 it's the shit, and a Lincoln precision TIG 275

sometimes when I'm building handrails on the big layout table i use this old fucked up dynasty machine. And then when I do portable welding use couple different ones depends on the situation both are dynasty machines ones a 110v with a thumb control the other is a bit more umph for jobs that arent in fucked up places

Hey not trying to thread jack your build but I was wondering if you tried those spacers out to see if they work or if its enough of a spacer. I'm not sure im even going to run a front sway bar as my spring rates are 12k swift springs on stance gr+ pro's and my suspension has next to ZERO travel. Anyways I had to make some spacers with a step up because of the way the sway bar mounts are. Haven't test fitted the sway bar on the car with the motor in yet tho.

I already had an rb25 so the weight is pretty close to the same. Drifting on a bank turn my car almost three wheel motions in the front because the springs literally do not compress because of how stiff they are. I'm gonna try it with and without and see if its noticeable even with the little amount of suspension travel I have.

Anyways back on topic. Love your build, glad you're taking your time and able to do things on your own the way you want. I'm sure ill see you down at PARC once you're done!

^^^ the question is why dont you have much suspension travel on your pink s13? and start fixing that before being concerned with your sway bar

First off there's a quote button for a reason. And I know exactly why I don't have travel as its my car not yours. I have custom valving, 12k swift springs and a 30.4mm Tanabe sway bar so I think its pretty obvious why there's no travel because a combo of everything is making the front suspension too stiff. Hence why i'm going to remove the thick sway bar, try a stock one, and further more try softer spring rates. Anyways this isn't the thread about how to tell me how to set up my suspension.

Sorry to the OP for leading this thread off topic. Could you post pics of your sway bar clearance from the ground and your pan once you get that far?

Whats this about the modded stock ecu removing boost cut? Are you worried about timing problems with the stock ecu?

Reason i ask is im running the stock ecu with a he 341 holset and a safc from apexi.

nope I picked up an aem v2 standalone didn't wanna deal with that stuff so just decided to go with a standalone.

stock sway bar is your best bet i'll try and get some pics of it when I get it on the ground

The fab work is GREAT! Just think that shroud is going to block alot of air flow for no reason really... Looks good don't get me wrong. These motor's create a shit ton of heat and unless that fan is a high CFM flowing fan with a 3 row core you might have some overheating issues at lower speed tracks like PARC.

I had the same thoughts but if I run into problems it only takes 10 mins to fab up a new shroud

Sounds like a good plan, wasn't sure if you were going to lay some beads to the tube rad support and frame so I just wanted to give some info to ya! Comin along great man. You already have a clutch right? I'm selling a 1j/2j r154 ORC twin setup with low mileage and im going to Portland in the morning if you're interested. Or if you know of anything else you're missing I might have.

No worries, it's one of those bigger expensive items. A lot of people spend all the money on the engine trans and don't think about a clutch to handle the power so I doubt its gonna be a fast item to sell. I wish I had this before I had already bought my exedy twin because I paid 2 grand for it new wholesale. I only paid $1200 for this clutch and its actually a better clutchx, has the heat slits in the friction plates for better cooling and I plan on keeping it for a spare if someone doesn't want it.

These are suppose to be great power for the money

there's a little modifying to get this kit to work good but definitely worth it

front timing over and misc parts put back on and motor timed it's on the ground going have to mod the tranny mount a little more :/ forgot how low it was. Also can't wait to drive this beast... wire tuck coming soon and aem ems v2 etc.

yes it will be exposed as is. It's a track only car otherwise I would have tubbed it.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm getting kicked out of the shop haha we have some big work to do and need the space. Moving it to a new location at the end of the week to finish the build.

Aiming to be running by March 2nd for Kyle Pollards Birthday Drift at PARC

Final parts have been ordered stand by
