I have a question, if you register for the Drift event does that mean you also have to register for the all-Nissan Meet? Thanks

Am I drifting? I hope so, that's what I signed up to do. I'm broke like a joke, but I managed to come up with the funds. My S14 is in the air right now, I managed to f**k s**t up last week. But I should be good to go before you get back. We hittin' up the canyons right?

Yay sil-abc!!!! Glad to hear that you finally registered yourself in an event...you're going to have so much fun. If I decide that I'm not going to be driving I might be able to find you a helmet to borrow...but it's really a good idea just to invest in one so that you can have it for future events.

Either was I'll see you down there....

Helmets must be DOT or Snell95 or above. Most motorcycle helmets exceed DOT and Snell specifications. The thing is, motorcycle helmets are specifically designed to absorb more severe impacts. However, helmets for cars don't have to meet such stringent specifications.

Motorcycle helmets are only designed to take one hard impact before needing to be replaced. The styrofoam inside gets compressed and is no longer good. Car helmets are designed to take more beatings, such as your head bouncing around against a cage and everything else inside a car.

Oh, and if you're planning on getting serious about tracking your car, you might just want to buy a car helmet rated SA2000, since you're buying a helmet anyways. Some event organizers won't let you use a motorcycle helmet. You'll be fine for drift days with an MA95 helmet, but might as well plan ahead and not buy 2 helmets.

the A..hmmm...dunno..lol..

but in general

MA = Motorcycle

SA = Automobile

M = should be Motorcycle too but older (unsure)

anything (SA/M/MA) above 95 is good..SA above 2000 is accepted EVERYWHERE..
