brother has what was originally an auto s13 with now a s14 ka24de and s14 manual transmission.

has original s13 wiring harness but the main engine harness where all the wire sprout from the fuse box closest to the battery is all hacked up and janky.

when plugging in the battery, the negative terminal was sparking a lot and when inserted it in all the way, i heard a slight pop.

car has power, no electrical functions work besides powering the headlights. headlight motors, blinkers, gauge cluster lights, interior lights DO NOT work. The gauge cluster time is illuminated but there is no time, just a bright rectangle.

Also, there are 2 plugs coming form the s13 manual tranny harness that have no way of plugging into the engine wiring harness. There are also about 3 or 4 plugs coming out of the main fuse box that have nothing to plug into.

any help is appreciated. i suck with electrical.
