(*)(*)sr20det help!!(*)(*)

I noticed my SR RedTop had the wrong O2 sensor

-Instead of the Titania (Skinny) o2, it had a Fat o2

So i got the correct skinny o2, but wiring looks off;;;

[[[UPDATE]]]].......................................

Correct wiring for 62 ecu and skinny o2 is;

harness------skinny o2

Brown--------red
White---------black
Black---------white

Last I did this, I thought the polarity doesn't matter. Find the signal wire and connect that first, then wire the other two which ever way.

*I think.

Yea the pic is correct

On the red top sr its

harness------skinny o2

Brown--------red
White---------black
Black---------white

The brown harness wire is the 12v sourse

*on the skinny o2 sensor the black wire is the signal wire and white is ground

heres what I usually do. Go to pep boys and look through the oxygen sensor boxes until you find all the 1-wire oxygen sensors. Buy the cheapest one, usually $12 or $14.

Now, you know exactly which wire is the signal since there is only 1 wire. Install using the single signal wire and never worry about this again. If you put a voltmeter on the wire, it will flip from 0.005Volt - 0.985+Volt when working properly.
