Any one else wonder if the kinetix plenum would fit better than the stock unit?

Kinetix intake will it fit better then the stock plenum ???

Big fat no

Well, just paid $500.00 for this thing can't just throw it in the corner

Step one cut this tap off it is for some EVAP silanoid that I do not have any way

Step two cut big chunk off fire wall out.
I had already put a big dent for the stock one the kinetix plenum is worse and
It is not the same place that hits so now I have a big hole nest to a big dent

Looks like the windshield wiper linkage will rub when the wipers are on but we will see when I get there

Had to cut hole in S15 hood too plus I spaced the hood about 1/2 an inch up in the Back. Because I will have to splice my S14 and S15 fenders together I have done it in a way that will rase the back to match the hood more on that later..

S15 conversion with metal fenders on S14a

i used the S15 core support but you dont have to you can cut holes out for the head lights. I bent the top of the S14 core support up when i stabbed the engine and i want a clean look..

Drill the spot welds out and pull it out i just took the top half off since the bottem half is the same and it was less work.

I took a reg. drill bit and drilled a little on each the grinded the bit down on the end. I did this 3 times untill the drill bit was flat on the end. this alowed me to keep from drilling all the way threw both sheets of metal..

this guys right up is great on the replcement

Buy a punch and flange i got one at harbor freight for 39.99 not on sell well worth it do not butt weld or over lap it with out the flange tool butt welding it will make it week and over lapping it you will need a bunch of body filler

this is the best places i could find to cut at i had to trim both sides a few times remember it is EZer to make it shorter than longer so be cairfull and take your time cut a little at a time

I had said before to use weld threw primer but my body guy that welded the fender togather said the stuff makes the weld come out crappy and he was right. he put seam sealer on the back and then sprayed over that with rubberized under coating.

I will post pics of the pass side when done with it

ready for body filler it is smoth and will not need much. there was a dent in the S15 Fender when i got it i will need to rub it out and then start on the body work

I am going to paint it "Sizzling Crimson Mica" it is a Toyota color for 2012
I saw it on a Highlander. it is close to the black cherry I painted the engine bay but has more red flake in it Paint code 3R0

I have got the heads back from the machine shop but just cant find the time to work on her stay tuned car should be done buy 2056 or when I hit the power ball what ever comes first
