Hello !

I own a Nissan 200sx s13 with ca18det engine, i am TOTALLY new with cars, this car is my first car. It has a number of issues currently wich im going to eliminate one at a time. Also, its an european version left hand drive.

My question is, where is the thermostat located ? If anyone can post a picture, it would be VERY appreciated, or just try to explain if you guys can

Congrats on your first ride.

Look at the radiator. Then put you hand on the upper "top most" coolant hose thats connected to the radiator.

Follow that hose, it will lead you to a housing thats called the thermostat housing. Inside is the thermostat

Well.. I tried googling, also youtubing. But, the thing is the results i found is people with the KA24 , e , and de engine..

I tried googling ca18det thermostat location, but found nothing.. Mostly people in usa and stuff google 240sx thermostat location, but then the sr20det or ka24det comes up ( wich we in norway cant have in our cars legally )

Also here in Norway the 240sx, or 180sx, is called " nissan 200sx s13 ", its with the cat eyes and ONLY with ca18det engine.. we cant have sr20det legally, or even ka24e, or de.. i dont know if the location of stuff is the same in ca18det engine, compared to sr20det etc .. cause im super new to cars.

Iknow it was a stupid question, but atleast i learned

Now you have everything you need to know about every wire bolt nut and screw on your car.
