s14 4 Runner brake swap S14

Before you jump on me, I've spent the last hour or so on both google and Zilvia searching for an answer. So I may suck at searching, but I did try. Anyways, I have a 95 S14 and have been wanting to upgrade the brakes for a while. Obviously a S chassis owner would flock to the Z32 conversion, however the price of Z32 brakes has seemed to inflate due to popularity. While I know anything is possible, I was wondering if anyone had ever heard/done a 93/95/97/98 4 Runner brake swap onto an s13/s14. Through my searching I found that that's a common swap for 240z's. Now I read that a 4 Runner caliper will bolt to a stock S30 hub. Any brainstorming/information is appreciated. Thanks

4runner brakes suck and are known for warping quick.

Haha well I guess that sums it up. I was just hoping to get away with paying 26 dollars for calipers from pull-a-part.

why not just run q45 or j30 front brake set up since youd like to grab a set of brakes from a pick n pull. theres countless of thoze overhere at pickurparts untouched.

then again idk how the pick n pulls are in alabama. GL

you could also grab z32 "without drift tax" remanned calipers from an autozone n such just return some "z32" cough..... calipers as the core charge.

Q45 and be done if you don't want to deal with finding Z32s that are not way overpriced.

Haha you hit the nail on the head. There are few pull-a-parts, and even fewer Q45s, J30s, and Z32s. And all of those have been pilfered through by fellow S Chassis guys. And honestly, this may sound vein, but one reason I really want the upgrade (still second to function) is how meaty and flashy that mono block caliper looks. But I'm going this weekend. The location does have a J30 in stock. I'm going to do some research. If I can pick up rotors & calipers for under 50 and not need lines/etc then I may go for it. Otherwise I'll wait for the Z32.

Try q45, heard that's a good swap.
