The next best option is 5 bolt J30 axles... they're about .25" longer than s13/s14 axles and don't need adapters. Getting the correct 5 bolt axle stubs can be tricky though.

Hey guys I need help identifying all the sensors located on the 2jzge block. I lost all of the sensors, will gladly pay someone for helping me out. I did research them but no luck. My setup, sc300 2jzge block with non vvti 2jzgte head, modified 2jzgte upper intake manifod, s366 bw, generic tubular manifold to name a few. I need to find out all these sensors to finish my wiring harness, will be using infinity 6.thank you.

SilviaCraze, I have a 2jzge as well. Let me know what sensors you are looking to identify. There aren't a whole lot.

Guys, I was going to do the fan clutch and 7m fan shroud but I'm getting cold feet. I accidentally snapped the ear off my stock oil filter housing so I'm taking it as a hint to go with a thermostatic oil cooler. I figure now that I will have an oil cooler I can most likely go with some badass electric fans. What electric fans are you guys using with good success? I have a mishimoto radiator if that's any constellation.

That's no good! You might have a blockage or leak somewhere.

Hey, thanks for the info. I'm currently using the cheap Atf from auto zone. I'll switch it out for the Toyota fluid and go from there. I'm still thinking some of the noise is from my solid mounts though.

Yeah, true, but i think im going to give it a shot. Once i re-lip my wheels and get my rear drop knuckles i should be able to take out quite a bit of camber and make it work.

Go with Freed for the mounts. Give them a call and they will make you the auto mount. That's what I have and fit perfect.

As for a harness I am running 2jz VVTi auto and Tweak'd made my harness, also worked perfect, started up first try.

been having a problem with my 2j vvti. it wont rev past 4000 rpm. its like it hits a wall. i have not put a new timing belt on it yet so i decided to check the belt timing marks when i found that it appears that some Japanese tech installed it 3 teeth off on the cams. (maybe too much Sake that day, idk.)

I put pink paint marker(only color i had) on the TDC marks on the cam. The white one is the 60degree BTDC mark. I tried rotating the engine many times and every 720 degress it never changes, its always 3 teeth advanced.

as you an see the crank is TDC

then cams while crank is at TDC

I think there are two marks on the vvti pulley. If you keep rotating the crank counter clockwise it should all line up. I think your issue is something else.

my sr20 would have to turn over and over forever before the timing marks lined up again but not the 2jz. It lines back up every 720 degrees (2 rotations of the crank).

If it was going to take a bunch of rotations to line up it would at least make some advancement every rotation and it's not

I think you're looking at the wrong mark on the crank pulley.

LOL yeah must be someone else. However, this weekend is round 1 of the Lone Star Drift Texas Street Legal and Pro-am series.
I've never been so excited to break my car.

Got my car running the other day. Stock ECU and fuel (for now - upgrades to both coming soon. Leaning towards either AEM V2 or ECUMasters EMU).

Unsure of VVTI, but I know non VVTI.

The marks on the cam gears should be straight up when the mark on the crank is on 0.

Does it literally stop revving at 4k, or does it begin to misfire/breakup?

Is the problem only under load?

Just got my 1j/r154 setup from a friend who ran it in his rx7. I plan on using the Get Nuts Lab mounts. Anyone running these? What shifter should I use? It's going in my s14.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to set the TPS on the 2JZ-GTE VVTi motors?

I have it inside of the throttle body properly (not where it's forcing the throttle plate open), but I'm not sure what wires to probe to get the voltage. I know the proper range for voltage... but I don't know how to set it accordingly.
