s13 s13 fuse box harness inquire

hello everyone, I'm new to the community and I'm also new to the S chassis and the SR20 engine, got rid of my 03' 350Z because I had the chance to get my hands on a very nice s13 coupe sr20 blacktop swap, as I was checking the engine bay I found that the wiring on the eco was not done right and its a very dangerous harness to run as not only it looks like a rat nest, a lot of the cables are cut and taped together and it just a disaster in general, my question is, do I need to replace the chassis harness or the fuse box harness connects to the chassis harness or ECU? or is it a whole piece, I've never done wiring before so I decided to ask you guys with a lot more experience, thank you

The ECU is connected to your engine harness. The easiest, simplest solution for someone who has never messed with wiring is to contact Wiring Specialties. They will build you a 100% plug & play engine harness for your SR swap with no cutting/taping/splicing needed. The end result is very clean and factory-looking.

I have an engine harness coming in from them soon, I think I didn’t state my question properly, my question is, is the fuse box harness separate from the body/chassis harness or is it a single unit?

The fuse box harness is part of the chassis harness.

Yeah, and WS still hasn't come up with a full chassis harness yet.

if the chassis harness has been hacked, your best bet is to find a car someone is parting out, offer them $250 for the entire harness, then swap that bish over.

its a pain in the butt, but less of a pain than fixing a bunch of stupid mistakes made by a previous owner.

just make sure the donor car has all the same options as yours (power windows, ABS, a/c, etc)
