Heres the latest progress.

Custom making a few things, the tranny will be here next week, so I'm putting the motor back in the car to get the rest of the stuff ready.

Water pump block off plate for electric water pump

Motor on the hoist about to go in

My first attempt at welding aluminum, dont laugh... Seriously. For remote oil filter mount

Back view

12 lb chrome moly flywheel

-16 AN fittings for water lines, two in, two out

Here it is back in again after powder coating and cleaning

man I want to make sweet sweet love to that engine. Why exactly did you ditch the oem water pump? Are they known to be weak? Or lack of room? Or maybe just parasitic loss? Either way, kick ass setup

Good lord that is amazing...

I skimmed through the thread mostly looking at the pictures so I dont know if someone already asked this but what are you doing in terms of wiring that thing up? Are you going to wire it with the stock ECU and some kind of piggyback or full standalone or what?

Super mad props man, super unique swap but still keeping it in the Nissan family is what I like to see.

was that flywheel actually made for the q45 by xtd? Or was that a special order?

its a 300zx flywheel.
Direct bolt on

Hell even the SR20 flywheel would have worked, but i wanted to get a better clutch since this motor makes 240lb/ft of torque at 1500rpm

Since I'm still waiting for the tranny getting some other stuff buttoned up.

Oil catch can, still have to put in the breathers, ill just pick up some little k&n filters.

Had a friend tig up the fitting for the water pump block off.

Heres the Trust oil filter block, no oil cooler yet *
