What's stopping people from installing nx1600 in s14's?

I have yet to find any articals or photos of nx clusters installed in s14? Seems possible. Has anyone attempted it? It fits in an s14 dash okay.... Pic below. I had it in an s13, I plan on using all the same sensors except the fuel sending unit. Hoping it will read correctly.

All in for you to update this post with a write up of some sort. I’ve wondered the same, best of luck to you. It’s all wiring, shouldn’t be that bad.

Dang, I never knew 1600s had such spacey looking dashes. Come through with the fitment details!

The picture I attached is an nx cluster in an s14 dash. It lines up well. I have about a half inch gap between the cluster and bezel on each side. It should be an easy fix to fill the gap or mod the bezel so the cluster sits flush against it.

Welp, looks like this guy might be taking a trip to the local yard lol. Have you tried wiring it up yet?

Not yet. I have both fsm, I wired it up for my old s13, I found it strange that no one has done the conversation. Looking for someone else's experience with this so I don't ruin an expensive cluster...

With the plethora of Can-bus displays available out there, it seems primitive to attempt installing one. I’ve spent quite a large sum of money on hardware and software for my car over the years, if I intend to upgrade the dash, it’ll be something that can display all the ECU information I have available.

For me, it’s a waste of time.

I'd throw that cluster in my clean S14. It'd be perfect for a show car build.
