Finally installed my oil cooler lines/tree and cooler. now it's ready for engine wiring and to mount some beefier bumper mount bolts.

Now onto the wiring nightmare, had to strip out the stock z24i engine wiring harness. hopefully I don't need any plugs off it.

setting up my mobile soldering station

seeing as this harness is fuckery as it's connected to the engine AND the interior I previously cut it because I was thinking I can send away and get a plug and play. BUT apparently that didn't happen.

so now im trying to re-construct what I need and what I don't.

got the harness line and the ecu where I want it to be

I actually made a alt/battery harness (combined the oem and an extra rb25 one I had laying around). also created a new battery cable and made a master negative cable for all the accessories.

got a master block to house all of my fuses.

and here is were we are now... got to separate, extend, and cut this to fit!!

coming along with more wiring , thinking I finally got what I needed extended and cut what I needed cut.

and also installed the alarm horn too. got the right length of my o2 sensor also.

cleaned up my "happy" corner

so next up was the ignitor/coil setup. apparently the z24i one is different, so I had to source a 240sx coil and ignitor, using the z bracket...

so this is my first custom swap. and this wiring was a bitch in the first place, so I opted for the nifty can-am box that makes Nissan swaps a snap.

after fabbing up a custom bracket I finally got a place to mount this.

after the easy to follow wiring diagram it was working

the other side was used for the fuel pump relay

here is my map sensor/iat sensor(for the moment) set up.

got the first piece of my downpipe fabbed up, cleared the brake master cylinder.

and I need to wire up my knock sensor

How is this project coming along? Im currently stuffing a 5.3 into my 1987 2 door pathy. We are running into similar problems! including rust under the rear seats.
this was a good read hoping to hear how it turned out
