ca18det turbo vacuum line problem
So I just got a new turbo and it does not have a spot to put a vacuum line on it, and I do not know where to connect the vacuum line that was already once on it. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Ok what turbo did you get and what vacuum line are you talking about? Is your new turbo for an external gate while the old one was internal gate?

Yeah. Post photos of the old turbo, and where the old vacuum line went, and the new turbo. It sounds like the new turbo is for an external gate.

Yup thats what you would have to do. Or drill and tap a nipple on the compressor cover. Theres a spot on it you can tap by the 3 bolt outlet.

there's a nipple under the throttle body, which is :
/free if you don't have a canister /used if you have a canister (if so, use a 'T' nipple) connect the actuator at this place. If you use a BC, connect a hose from this nipple under the TB, to the BC solenoid, cut it and put a 'T', one side goes to the solenoid, the other to the turbo's actuator. |
