s14 Boosting an s14 help

Hey everyone Im fairly new to the car scene and dont know much (besides the basics) in car mechanics. Im planning on getting an s14 and I would want to boost it. For now, I just want to know what an average price it will be to boost a stock KA engine. Also if someone will be kind enough to list what I would need. Thanks in advance for helping a fellow noob enthusiest.

Here is all the consulting you need:

step1: turbo KA
step2: drive for one week
step3: ???
step4: reverse profit

Does anyone know anyone that has over 40,000 miles on a build turbo KA engine with proof?
Still looking...

If you're new to the car building scene you're gonna want to allot an hour each night to browsing google for any question or ideas that pops into your head. It is unlikely that you will find an s14 that is ready for boost right off.. car fortification mods are a smart and easier way to start building. I'm talking bushing replacement, suspension arm upgrades, sway/strut bars, general maintanence, etc. IMO boost should be one of the final puzzle pieces when building a 240, not the first.

40k miles on a built motor or driving a turbo'd ka for 40k miles? I put about 20k on mine and I wasn't very nice to it. Tune and quality parts is what makes them last.

I second what 'mewant' said.
You built the engine and boosted it to enjoy it while in boost, which puts pressure on all the parts.
If you cheaped out, the weakest part WILL break and that is why you 'over build'.
IF the engine is putting out 500 hp, the rest of the driveline should be built to handle 600hp.
If you want to put down 500 HP, build the engine to withstand 650.

You can just go on KA-t.org and there are plenty of people dailying KA-t's for long periods. One of my local friends constantly raced/daily/drag/drift his KA-t for at least 3 years. Then about a year ago swapped the motor into another one of my friends cars who then drove it from north to south florida to where it is still running.
