yeah, if your going to try getting the best looking spray, go ahead and wetsand it down if you have orange peel, or clear it, with about 6 coats, then wetsand it with 2,000 grit paper, and buff with rubbing compound and then polishing, that'll make it look more legit...

Looks like any regular black spray can job. Good job refinishing your hood.
Try compounding the clearcoat after a few days. it turns it into sex. heres my spraypainted seat cowl for my bike |

well no shit, with a real gun you can control variables such as air pressure, spray pattern, and moisture, as well as mixture, but this thread isnt about that, he is talking about spray painting it...
