Anyone else tired of AMD playing catch up in the GPU space?

I went from a AMD 4600 to a 7950 to a 470. When I wanted to upgrade only the 1080ti made sense as I wanted 1440p 144hz. Years later AMD is still competing with a card that will soon be 3 years old.

I WANTED the Radeon 7 so bad when I first saw the design. IMO it is the best looking gpu i have ever seen.

Then I saw the charts....

I hope this alleged 5900 XT is a killer card. I am looking at the 3080ti as getting near 2080ti performance is a no go for me since I am already near.

I would love to go to AMD but I'm team green until they can come out with something that is worthy to upgrade with drivers that are not shit.

just rumors but I really hope a 40% increase in performance for the 3080ti conpared to 2080ti does not factor in dlss. if not sounds really good. guess will know by sure by end of the month

They should just release the info already. All pc related convention will be closed down.

Knowing greedvidia. Titan could possibly the bigger gpu with 40% improvement and TI will be throttled down 20-30%.

geez at this rate I'll be happy anything gets released within the next year or so.

That being said I am seriously ok paying more for a 3080ti or even a titan even if it means saving up a month or two for it, if I can maintain my income after this pandemic. $3.5k for 40% performance over a 2080ti, I am okay with that. what im absolutely not interested is another low or mid end card release. That's great for many I'm sure, but not what I'm looking for.

Dude that is over 50% more cost for 40% more performance.

That would be terrible value.

If anything the 3080ti should be cheaper than the 2080ti.

If it's some bs Nvdia dlss marketing that tries to promise 40% with dlss but it's like 10% without, then definitely holding on to my 1080ti for longer.
