s13 Online PDF Factory Service Manuals?

Does anyone know if anyone has posted Nissan Factory Service manuals for the 240sx? Several other car forums have people who've put them up (as well as parts fiche) in PDF format.

I'm looking for the '89 240sx SOHC Coupe manual. Im gonna undertake the TSB fix for shaking steering wheel issue in S13s. It'd be nice to have a quick reference i could print out.

Now before anyone goes off about stealing or anything of that nature... the Mazda factory service manuals i use have been put online for the last few years with absolutely no litigation-- they're a great service to the DIY community and Mazda has had no qualms about their presence to this date.

If anyone wants to do this and host them, I have access to a nice big Minolta Dialta printer/scanner that will scan all the pages rather quickly. Should be a good resource for the forums

To the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been done yet. I was planning on scanning the FSM for 89-90's in piece by piece but I haven't gotten around to buying it yet. I'd say your best bet is ebay.

I can't see why they would differ at all really... There may be small things, but all of the important things would be the same.

this is really old but I'm gonna need help interfacing the ca18det wiring with the stock stuff and I would also like the fsm for the sohc.
or at least a site that details the wiring changes necessary.

I spent a while looking for sohc wiriing diagrams online and couldnt find any. I know a few people on here have the fsm and it would cool if they could scan the wiring diagram.

From my trial and error, I have determined that a lot of the stuff is the same as the KA24DE which is available.

If someone could point me in the direction to finding the printed copy, I wouldnt really mind getting it scanned :P I really wish I could find it scanned too, for the SOHC. Im not going to buy and rely on on darn Chilton manual, unless somebody can promise me it's good.

WOOHOO! Old thread!

Anyways, Chilton is the biggest waste of money next to modifying your car... er wait...

Anyways if your really bored enough to Scan a WHOLE Factory Service Manual (All 3, 4, or 5 of them) and buy a scanner if need be, Im sure I can get you money raised for the manuals and scanner. Of course, I would only do this after you scanned everything

just buy the FSM. i tried to fix a simple electrical issue for months using the ca18det manual, failed, got the 240sx manual and fixed it the next day. there's more stuff different in there than you'd think.

i picked mine up off ebay for 60 bucks.

Chiltons manuals are available at your local library. I get those everytime I work on my family's cars for just in case reference. They are hardly as complete as the FSM but are more newb friendly and have lots of pictures and wordy instructions (yet are some how vague on the important stuff).

If you know the pages you need for your TSB update let me know and I can scan you a few pages (like 5, I have no intention of scanning 400 pages at the rate mine scanner goes).

Dude, where did you get that??? That's one of the best manuals i've ever seen in pdf format.

edit: Now that I take a closer look, it's not a factory service manual is it?

Anyone bought those CD Manuals off ebay? I'm not going near those with my money...but was wondering if they're any good?

I've got an '90 FSM, but it lacks some of the DOHC, HICAS, etc. stuff I need for my '91.

i bought one of the cd fsms from ebay, its actually not that bad, it was a 81 rx7 manual tho, its basicly just all the pages in pdf, i just print off pages as i need them, has worked out fine thus far, and i just saved the info from cd to my harddrive, so if the cd gets lost i still have a copy

it looks kinda factory, but it's definitely not the 240sx FSM. it looks like a general nissan fsm or something...

still DAMN cool though! real text (not scanned) makes me a happy boy because it's searchable

Well, you'd need Adobe Acrobat (the full thing) to make PDFs, or I think PhotoShop lets you scan and save to PDF format too. That's cool that you are getting the 91FSM and all, would be good if you scan it for here for all the DOHC KA people, but wouldnt help Mike or myself, who have SOHC engines :P Anyhow, im gonna stroll on by my local Nissan dealer and get a few things I guess, and ask about that FSM. Someone else told me the dealer themselves have it cheaper than that place listed earlier that has it for $80. They said their dealer had it for $50 ^_^
